so for almost a year now, my parents and I have actually owned smartphones. We all got Droids of the same family(Razr Ms and HD in my case) and my family still amazes me..
Let's start with Dad. He chose the Razr M. He's got pretty large fingers and that screen is dinky...sooo he and my mom both(to my immense annoyance) have discovered and actually use on a regular basis, Google Voice Texting....do you have any idea how confusing it is to come home after work and hear someone talking and then you realize that they are speaking a text message to someone.....they do it ALL THE TIME!!!!!!!!
They both got their phones for free and got cases for them.
Now, on to Mama.
My mom pretty much hates her phone....it's only got 8 GB of storage so she is constantly having to erase data because she loves to download things....then she complains when it wipes out something that I'm 99% sure it gave her the option to erase....like her photo data....try erasing some apps you haven't used in a while.....
I got the Droid Razr HD....I've wanted a Blackberry since I first got a cellphone. I thought about getting an Iphone or Samsung GS3 but the guys at the "unbiased" wireless shop(surprisingly not Bestbuy) talked me out of Blackberry(OK I'll give them that), Iphone...(NOOO), and almost got the the S3....but in the end, with the job that I had at the time, I thought that the GS3 was too flimsy and would break and shatter if I got it...and someone chose to try and redecorate a wall with it....
so Droid Razr HD it was....I got insurance on it too(great move). I thought that there would be a ton of accessories for my phone....LIES!!!!! sadly disappointed.
Between helping my dad with powerpoint presentations, cellphone problems, and Excell, it's been fun being the only semi-tech savvy person in the house....and sometimes my parent's surprise me. :)
